I live in Europe so getting English channels well is a challenge. As with a PC you can hook it up to your TV and watch stuff on it but honestly it's so much easier to take an ipad than a PC before traveling I load up our iPads and iPhones (that part is a hassle converting and then copying over) and once we get to the hotel watch what we want And I would add hotel stays as well.
